我们不晓得他的父母为他起了个甚么名字,只知道法老的女儿为他起了「摩西」这个名字,意思很简单,就是解作「拉出来」。

2你吩咐以色列人说:你们要照着我藉摩西所晓谕你们的,为自己设立逃城。

And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
摩西就照耶和华所吩咐的把以色列人头生的都数点了。

But when God was giving Moses the Ten Commandments and said He was a jealous God, this is not the type of jealousy He was speaking of.
